On July 9, 2021, a workshop "Protection of structural integrity in energy and transport" was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture to present an innovative system for monitoring and managing dynamically loaded structures developed as part of the project in response to the needs of energy and transport industry.
Over 40 participants from Croatian companies in the field of energy and transport participated at the workshop. The project activities and the activities carried out by the FSB were presented by the project manager, professor Zdenko Tonković, PhD, and assistant professor Marko Jokić, PhD. Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) was presented by profesor Mario Vašak, PhD, and the activities managed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering from Rijeka, professor Ivica Kožar, PhD. Participants continued the discussion and exchange of ideas together at lunch.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, this first workshop within the project had to be limited to a smaller number of participants, but we hope that the second workshop scheduled for 2023 will be even more successful. The project team thanks everyone who responded and we look forward to working together in the future!
