The team of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka carries out the activities of system identification, application of statistical methods and inverse modeling, which are key in the implementation of the methodology on the actual structure. Likewise, the team will contribute its experience in planning and conducting experiments to determine the dynamic response of a structure.
The team of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Rijeka, with measurement data in the laboratory and on the structure itself, based on inverse models, statistical models of materials, theory of structural similarity, etc., develops computational procedures for determining model parameters.
For the implementation of the project, a young researcher was hired and a laser Doppler vibrometer for precise non-contact speed measurement was procured, from which displacements and accelerations can be calculated. The device will enable precise monitoring of dynamic fatigue experiments and will also enable vibration at (relatively) high frequencies, which will shorten the duration of the experiment.
