ZaCjel Project

Objectives

12 experienced scientists and four newly employed young researchers from three Croatian faculties are developing an innovative system of supervision and management of dynamically loaded structures with the goal to preserve their integrity, ie prevent damage in order to increase their reliability, safety and service life.

The general goal of the project:
  • Strengthening the capacity of partners and the existing Centre of Excellence for Structural Health - CEEStructHealth, through the employment of young researchers and equipping them with state-of-the-art research equipment for conducting interdisciplinary research in the field of structural integrity.
Specific objectives of the project:
  • Development and integration of a number of methods into an innovative and comprehensive approach to the protection of integrity, ie prevention of the occurrence and growth of damage in dynamically loaded structures with the aim of increasing their reliability, safety and service life with reduced maintenance costs
  • Validation of a new method on laboratory models and real structural components of energy and transport systems
  • Transfer of acquired knowledge and technologies to economic entities and commercialization of results
